"Little Cowboy" 1st Birthday Cake

Like I have said earlier....  I know I say it just about every time, but this really was one of my favorites after finishing it!  I loved the cowskin chaps! Ha Ha!  They cracked me up everytime I looked at them!

This was a "Little Cowboy" birthday cake for a sweet little man's 1st birthday....

*Happy Birthday Sweet Sister....*

Today is my sister Julie's birthday!  I made a cake for her this past weekend when most of us (except for Jenny :(... we msised you Jenny!) got together to celebrate Father's Day and Julie's birthday!  We devoured most of it, but I think they managed to take a few pieces home after the 'celebration!' :)

As you can see from the pictures, this is a CHOCOLATE on CHOCOLATE M&Ms cake....

Chocolate cake iced with chocolate buttercream - and FILLED with chocolate buttercream... and, of course, topped with M&Ms :)

Now as I said, this was for JULIE'S birthday...

However, from the pictures, you would ALMOST think it was Grady's birthday "Part Two!"  I wish i had a video of this because without the words, pictures just do not give the full effect.

Grady chanted over and over... 'My birthday... My Birthday... My Birthday.....! MY CAKE... MY CAKE.... MY CAKE.....!  My Presents... My Presents... My Presents! :)  But hey - give the kid a break... he DID just have his 2nd birthday a few weeks ago, so he just thought he got a BIRTHDAY MONTH!! :)  Of course, Julie needed a little help blowing out the candles, so I don't think she minded sharing some of the attention!  Afterall, he's so stinkin' cute!! :)

This cake was for a precious little boy turning 4 who adores TOY STORY!  I included a few shots of it from different angles....

Conner had a swim party so his mom had the party table completely decorated with TOY STORY decorations.  So the cake looked adorable OUT of the box! :)

This was one of my favorite cakes....  Chocolate cake with buttercream icing.  Middle layer was filled with "MAROON" icing (just for dad, of course!)

Grady is TWO!

When thinking about what picture/pictures I should post first, I decided that it would only make sense to post the pictures of Grady's birthday cake/cupcakes before the others.  Reason being, Grady really is one of the reasons I really started doing this.  (For any of you who don't know, Grady is the most handsome/precious little man in the world... my nephew!)  He's my inspiration! :)  I'm always looking for 'creations' I can make for him....  So I guess I should dedicate this post especially to sweet Grady Man! :)

Julie and Josh decided to do a Jungle Friends Theme for Grady's 2nd Birthday Party this year.  The party was at the Mississippi Children's Museum and we had a great time!  The cupcakes were Lions, Tigers, Monkeys, Zebras, Panda Bears, and Elephants.  :)

We also had a little small family party for Grady-Man one night before his actual birthday... and you know he had to have a cake that night too!  These pictures.... and the fact that its all over his face...  this is why I love doing what I do! :) 

Happy 2nd Birthday Grady Man!  Sue Sue loves you so much!

Finally....

After months of saying, "I'm going to create a blog, I'm going to create a blog...." HERE IT IS!!!  I've had every intention of doing this, however I haven't stayed out of the kitchen long enough to actually sit down and create it until NOW!  (I hope you're proud of me, Jules! haha)

Basically, as most of my friends/family know, I have become slightly obsessed with baking/creating/decorating just about anything 'sweet!'... Cakes, Cupcakes, Cookies, Cake Pops, Cookie Cakes, etc...  And I decided to create this blog so I would have a place to show all of my pictures of my 'creations!' :)

Thanks for all of the support and love that I've received thus far from friends/family!....  You guys are the best!
